ronan connolly hails from co. monaghan, ireland. he has a b.ed from queens university, belfast, and an m.a in digital media from the university of limerick.

in belfast he hosted the irish-language radio show, an tearmann, on raidio failte. since then he has edited an award-winning radio drama series and short films, and completed a five-year documentary on the health care service in rural ireland.

he currently hosts eist: an urban guide to irish music, solas nua’s monthly music podcast, and coordinates the annual capital irish film festival.
