Q&A with co-director Patrick McGivney and producer Chris Higgins, moderated by Chef Cathal Armstrong.
In Robert Higgins and Patrick McGivney's directorial debut, which won the award for Best Irish Film at the 2022 Galway Film Fleadh, Cian (Éanna Hardwicke, NORMAL PEOPLE, THE SPARROW, VIVARIUM) is a young Gaelic footballer struggling to come to terms with a potentially career-ending injury after an attack leaves him with a serious concussion and an uncertain future. As his symptoms persist, Cian must undertake a search for his own identity in a small rural town where Gaelic football is a religion, and identity is defined by what you can — or can't — do on the pitch. (Note adapted from Harp Media.) Winner, Best Irish Film, 2022 Galway Film Fleadh.
