Solas Nua is starting to present live theatre again! Our first in-person production for over a year, In the Middle of the Fields, written by Deirdre Kinahan (Wild Sky, The Frederick Douglass Project), centers on Eithne, who is undergoing chemo-therapy for breast cancer. Stepping out of her house and into the nearby fields, she wonders what her life will be like on the other side of recovery from a deadly disease.

“All I know is that I cannot waste. I will not waste a second chance.”

Directed by Laley Lippard (The Smuggler)

Starring: Jessica Lefkow, Caroline Dubberly, and Ryan Sellers

Sound Design by Gordon Nimmo-Smith and Tosin Olufolabi, Lighting Design by Marianne Meadows, Choreography by Tony Thomas, Audience Engagement by Philippa Hughes, Production consultant Aaron Denu.

The show will be staged outdoors with audiences seated socially distant from each other. Situated in the beautiful federal park, P St Beach in Dupont Circle, the play will welcome audiences to safely enjoy live theatre underneath the summer stars. Blankets and chairs will be available for seating options.

Tickets are free with a Solas Nua Summer Theatre Membership!
