Redemption of a Rogue

Thursday, March 3 • 7:00 PM

Winner of the Best Feature and Best Debut Irish Feature prizes at the 2020 Galway Film Fleadh, the hilarious debut from award-winning Irish playwright Philip Doherty squeezes tar-black comedy and soulful reflections from an irresistible GROUNDHOG DAY-style premise. Prodigal son Jimmy Cullen (Aaron Monaghan, ASSASSIN'S CREED, FLOAT LIKE A BUTTERFLY) returns to his small hometown to a villain's welcome. When his father uses the last breath in his body to try and strangle him and promptly dies, all that remains is for Jimmy to bury him and mourn. But there's a catch. His father's will stipulates that he cannot be laid to rest on a day when it rains. And because the heavens are permanently open in the fictional village of Ballylough, Jimmy is now stuck on repeat in his own private hell.
