Celebrating Irish identity, culture and artistry, Solas Nua’s Capital Irish Film Festival (CIFF), is accepting submissions on FilmFreeway for its 16th annual run.

Offering the best in contemporary Irish cinema to a Washington, D.C., metropolitan-area
audience, CIFF is seeking the best in Ireland-based feature films, animation, shorts and documentaries. The submissions deadline has now been extended to December 1st, 2021 - submission fees apply.

The festival is presented by Solas Nua, the Washington-based Irish arts organization dedicated to contemporary Irish culture. CIFF will run from March 3 — 6, co-presented with the American Film Institute’s Silver Theatre and Cultural Center in downtown Silver Spring, MD.

Films accepted for the festival will be notified by late January 2022.

Solas Nua's Capital Irish Film Festival accepts submissions of features, documentaries, shorts, and animations, from Ireland-based filmmakers.
CIFF accepts submissions in both English and Irish (with English subtitles provided).

Submissions are open from Aug. through Nov. 15, 2021.
We can screen from Vimeo or YouTube formats but will require DCP format for those films selected for inclusion in the Festival.

All images submitted to help promote the film will be available for the festival to reproduce in advertising and festival programs without payment to filmmakers or any partners involved in production of such images.
