Solas Nua's Irish Popcorn! screening series, in partnership with NYU DC Dialogues, has been providing a curated selection of Irish films to Washington, DC audiences for over a decade. During the pandemic, Irish Popcorn! was reshaped to be delivered as a virtual screening series, with monthly screenings and talkback discussions.

As Solas Nua and NYU DC look to the future, we are keeping in mind the valuable feedback that we have received from our audience members in recent months and we aim to not only continue to provide this online film program, but to expand the quality and scope of this unique series.

We are delighted to announce that from November, Irish Popcorn! will be rebranded as CIFF@Home,  to align with Solas Nua’s annual Capital Irish Film Festival. The Capital Irish Film Festival which runs every March, in partnership with AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center.

Hand-picked by Solas Nua, the screening series will run every second month, with an on-demand film link provided to all registrants, this will allow you more flexibility in viewing the presentation in your own time, and a live Q&A will then take place at 6 PM Eastern on the last Wednesday of every second month - This will take effect from January 2022 onwards.

CIFF@Home with NYU DC Dialogues aims to deliver a wide range of contemporary Irish film, along with some classic films from throughout the years that you may have missed.

CIFF@Home will continue to be a free screening series, so please donate what you can to help Solas Nua continue to bring you quality Irish film programming and provocative discussion.
